THE POVERTY LINE PROJECT
In my Belfast talk, I mentioned the interesting project being done by Stefen Chow and Hui-Yi Lin, which originated in China but has now expanded across all six inhabited continents. Their approach to trying to view poverty as something that can be highly regional or even country-specific (in this case, via food) is well-worth reviewing. Projects that contextualize poverty and remove the term from the abstract - especially by highlighting how different it can be from place to place - are of great interest to me. If you happen upon others, please consider dropping me a note.
Anyway, linking to them here as someone in my talk asked me to.
