Given my history of speaking on the subject of how photography has been used - and manipulated - to get us to think about poverty in certain ways, and to donate to charities in specific ways, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a lot of folks are asking me my opinion of the new David Shields book War is Beautiful: The New York Times Pictorial Guide to the Glamour of Armed Conflict, which was published late last year.
I have not yet had the chance to read this book, but will be doing so shortly and posting a thorough review. Stay tuned!
Upcoming Speaking Dates
Wed, Feb 17 - Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland
